Block Panchayat

Block Panchayat A Block Panchayat is a body of elected representatives formed to carry out the administrative functions of the Panchayath Raj Institutions. The main components of a Block Panchayat are:**President:** The head of the Panchayat. The President presides over meetings and oversees the overall functioning of the Block Panchayat.**Vice President:** Performs the duties of the President in the President's absence.**Ward Members:** Elected representatives chosen from each ward of the Block Panchayat.**Standing Committees:** These are subcommittees formed to facilitate decision-making in areas such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
